The Paediatric Clinic

This clinic is specifically for children. Each child is tested free of charge by two final year BSc Optometry undergraduates under the supervision of a specialist paediatric optometrist. The clinic runs from the end of September until the beginning of December. Outside of these months children can be booked into the professional clinic for which there is a charge.

Children from the ages of newborns to seven years of age are normally seen in this clinic. Older children with learning difficulties may also be seen in the paediatric clinic. Children from the age of eight upwards can normally be tested by third or fourth year students for free in the standard primary care clinics which run from the end of September to April.

Unfortunately due to unprecedented demand the waiting list for this clinic is now closed.
