The Department of Spatial Information Sciences at DIT is hosting an information evening on the INSPIRE Directive. This CPD event, part of the Department’s Series of Programmes for Industry, has been designed to inform participants about the current National and EU status of INSPIRE and ongoing implementation requirements.
The INSPIRE Directive sets out the principles and rules for creating an Infrastructure for Spatial Information in the European Community. Implementation of INSPIRE is via legally binding Implementing Rules, the first of which became an EC Regulation on 24th December 2008, covering metadata.
