DIT to host Networking Meeting of Irish Community-Engaged Researchers

The International Association for Service-learning and Community Engagement and the Higher Education Policy Research Unit at DIT’s Centre for Social and Educational Research are hosting a Networking Meeting of Irish Community-Engaged Researchers.
Date: Wednesday 30 March,
Time: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Lunch Provided 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM)
Venue: Room G6, 40-45 Mountjoy Square, Dublin Institute of Technology
Theme: The theme for the meeting will be Community-Engaged Research and Scholarship – What does community-engaged research and scholarship look like? What questions are being asked and to what end? Who is doing community-engaged research? What methodologies are being used? How are you experiencing support for your community-engaged research and scholarship? Where are you finding outlets for publication and dissemination of your work? How does your work ‘count’ – in the academy and in the community?
Who should attend? - Scholars and researchers (both inside and outside of higher education) who are interested in examining their work as researchers in the community and with institutions of higher education.

- Josephine Boland, Senior Lecturer, School of Education, National University of Ireland, Galway.
- Ellen Hazelkorn, Director of Research and Enterprise, Dean of the Graduate Research School and head of the Higher Education Policy Research Unit - DIT.
- Trae Stewart, Chair of the International Association for Service-learning and Community Engagement and Associate Professor, University of Central Florida (via video).
