DIT Grad Show_11 - Fine Art, Visual Communication, Interior and Furniture Design, Product Design

The work of DIT graduates in all areas of visual art and design will go on show from today, with exhibitions in Portland Row, Smithfield and Temple Bar. This exhibition is the highlight of the academic year both for final-year students and their teachers and mentors. According to Kieran Corcoran, Chairperson of this year’s Graduate Exhibition Committee, “The exhibition represents the culmination of four years of full-time study and gives our students the opportunity to showcase the results of their imagination and creative skills in a public arena.” The exhibition includes a range of innovative and exciting work ranging from painting, sculpture, video, installation, image making, digital design and typographic design, to functional design of furniture and interior design, visual merchandising, and new product design. According to Corcoran, “All the work represented in the exhibition, and depicted in the beautiful catalogue designed by the students themselves, bears testament to a strong individual vision married to a clear understanding of how this work relates to the real world.”
