About Us

Oifig na Gaeilge TU Dublin is the office which is responsible for ensuring the development of the use, the visibility and the status of the Irish language amongst the students and staff of Technological University Dublin. These objectives are pursued through various projects which include the organisation of Irish language classes, the management of scholarships for staff and students to attend courses in the Gaeltacht and the management of scholarships for students who organise events for their peers (BÚA), the provision of a translation service and also the overseeing and monotoring of the University's obligations with regard to the Official Languages Act.

There are two of us working in the office part-time - Siobhán and Gráinne. Your comments and suggestions on promoting the Irish language in TU Dublin are always welcome, and you can email gaeilge@dit.ie or call us at 01 402 7043. Go raibh míle maith agat!
