Current Position

Assistant Lecturer Bsc in Optometry, DIT

Brief Bibliography

Obtained a diploma in Optometry from DIT in 1991.Worked in private practice for a number of years before taking up a position with Vision Express, where I worked in the Henry Street branch for almost 20 yrs. Completed an honours degree in Psychology in 2007.

Thereafter, took up a position as research assistant and optometrist in DIT in association with the Macular Pigment Research Group in WIT. Pursued post-graduate studies and graduated with an MPhil in Macular Pigment from DIT in 2011.

Currently pursuing a PhD in Macular Pigment and vitamin D status in a Diabetic population.

Joined the lecturing staff at DIT in April 2014
