Module Description

To 'make development happen' is often dependent on local business initiatives the success of which is usually because of shrewd appraisal of market opportunities, ability to take risks, and use of supporting structures. The module explores the key issues in bringing ideas into successful business concepts.

Module Aims

The aim of this lecture based module is to make the learner aware of critical factors in successful business development and to illustrate this by using case studies and field visits.
